Tuesday Talk via Zoom – Kitchen Gardens: History and Design with John Fromer

April 29 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Kitchen gardens have existed since antiquity and are still popular today.  Why have these gardens been important to western cultures? How were they designed and how are they used today?  What were the diets of people over the centuries and how did kitchen gardens help support families?  What were and are popular vegetables and herbs for kitchen gardens?  Please join Maine Master Gardener Volunteer John Fromer to learn the answers to these questions and more!

Please join us via zoom for our weekly Tuesday Talks.  Each Tuesday features a talk on ecology, horticulture and conservation presented by experts in their field.  Tuesday talks are via zoom from January through mid-May – tune in from anywhere on any device!

This talk is part of Merryspring’s Online Winter Talk series, co-sponsored by Camden Riverhouse Hotel, Renys, A Maine Adventure, and Camden National Bank.
