Do you grow perennials? Maybe some special ones you would like to give to a friend or plant sale? Or is your garden overgrown and you need to remove some plants? Dividing perennials is good for your garden, the perennials, and your wallet! You don’t have to go to the store!
Some perennials will spread quickly and take over your garden. Those need to be tamed. Others, enlarge the clump size and require division to prevent rot in the center. Plus, some perennials have a tap root, do not move and must be propagate via seed or cuttings. You need to know which is which.
This hands-on workshop will teach you which perennials you can divide, how to make the divisions, care for the divisions and which ones do not divide. Each participant will take home several divisions from the plants at Merryspring.
