North Meadow
Year Round fun in the North Meadow
North Meadow is a beautiful, 2-acre wildflower meadow with a mowed path around the perimeter and 3 benches to enjoy.
In the warmer months, bird and insect watching are fascinating for all ages. In winter, the meadow is mowed and is a great place for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. Also, in winter, watching for animal tracks is quite interesting.
In the fall of ’23, the RAMS (Rivers Alternative Middle School) helped board members plant 850 daffodil bulbs that were generously donated to Merryspring.
In spring, the daffodils bloom for several weeks in front of Tom Hopps’ memorial bench. The daffodils were planted in a pattern similar to an art piece by Andrew Goldsworthy.
