Merryspring Nature Center in Camden will be hosting a vernal pool talk and exploration on May 6 from 12PM to 1PM. The talk will be presented by Dr. Gregory LeClair, a biologist from the Beginning with Habitat program at the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Greg will review vernal pool ecology and lead a visit of the on-site vernal pool, where attendees may be able to apply their new knowledge and observe wildlife in this unique habitat.
Please dress accordingly for an all weather walk out to the Vernal Pool at Merryspring. We will meet at the Hexagon first then take a short walk to the Vernal Pool.
Please join us each Tuesday at noon for an in-person talk in the Hexagon on ecology, horticulture or conservation.
In-person Tuesday Talks are free for members and $10 for non-members (cash and check). Thanks to our sponsors Reny’s a Maine Adventure and Riverhouse Hotel & Inns.
